This cookbook has everything I like - lots of colorful photos, recipes that use regular ingredients, and lots of categories to choose from including soups, salads, sauces, breads, meats, vegetarian, and desserts to name a few. The only downside is that this 2010 version doesn't have a spiral or ring binding like the earlier 2008 version so it doesn't lay open very well.
There is a tutorial at the beginning on seasonal cooking that was helpful along with recipes using in-season vegetables and fruit. There is also a section on food storage that includes a guide to shelf life for foods in the refrigerator and freezer, another section with entertaining tips and suggested menus, and a kitchen companion section with an index to specific tips throughout the book and a glossary of cooking and ingredient terms. In between are many great, healthy recipes. We enjoyed the Mediterranean Chicken and Vegetable Kebabs over couscous, and I look forward to trying many other recipes from this book.
This is a good cookbook for cooks of any level of experience.
